There has been so much talk on the media recently beating up on Hilary Clinton and the Democrats. That they had no game, no strategy, no vision. Have these people lost their bifocals? I thought the Democratic Party had plenty of game, plenty of strategy and plenty of vision. Ok, so they didn't cater to a HANDFUL of whiners - and lost - but that does make them fundamentally weak or without vision?
I am a jaded and disillusioned 50 years, ex human rights activist and political prisoner (jailed at the age of 15 i.e. I have seen the grim realities of life), not easily swayed by promises of hope and change - but even I was moved by the vision presented at the 2016 Democratic Convention. Sure there were some loony characters, but by and large it was a good vision for the world, the future of mankind, for human evolution, for moving man onto a higher plane of being.
And let's not forget more people voted for Hilary Clinton. By 2 million plus votes.
And even in the electoral college, Trump only won 3 key states by less than 80,000 votes - not even enough to fill a large stadium.
Let's keep that in sight before we bash up the Democrats. Next time they just need to hold everyone's hand, kiss every fat baby's cheek (and I mean even every fat baby over the age of 3! Lord knows this country has plenty of those) , cater to every nonsensical instinct in us. This time they just didn't stoop low and played the game with some class. At least they deserve credit for that.
